You’re an overcomer!

Dear sweet friend, You are an overcomer! Never give up! You may be going through a difficult time in your life, but Christ is with you.

2 Corinthians 4:15, for all things are for your sakes that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God.

The afflictions that you suffer on this Earth are all for God’s glory. He will never forsake you or leave you in a place that you cannot recover from or come out of.

2 Corinthians 4:17-18, for our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen; for the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal.

We are a vessel that has been made for God. We are the clay and he’s the Potter. God is molding us to be in His image, to have a heart for Him, to always come to his throne boldly and ask for the help that we need. Always look toward his face and never give up. Because where the Spirit of God is there is Liberty. As a child of God, we have liberty to live our lives to manifest is glory. I prayed today that no matter what you were going through how great or small the situation may be that you would go boldly to the throne of God and place it at his feet. He will raise you up, surround you with his arms, and carry you through this time.

What story is God giving you?

What story is God giving you? How is he using you to be a witness for him? Do you look for those small chapters of God’s grace throughout your day?

As a child of God we are established in Christ. We have been given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts. We should have the confidence in our minds that God has us covered and all that we do is for him. As we go walking throughout our lives we need to realize that we can stand firmly in Christ and do his will.

“For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, and shine in our hearts, to give the light of knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ. ”

2 Corinthians 4:6

I know that I am not perfect. I have made mistakes throughout my life and not treated people the way that I should. I know that God has used my life to tell a great story. No matter how imperfect I am or the mistakes that I’ve made, I am perfect in his sight and he has used my terrible messed up life for his glory.

I was able to share my story this week with a nurse at the doctor’s office. All I could do was praise God and glorify him for everything that he’s done. And it just excites my heart every time that I can tell others my story.

Remember to you have Triumph in Christ and to savor in his knowledge.  We are adequate through our Lord so let God get a story out of you.

I choose happiness!

Have you ever been anxious or felt worried? I have, and it’s hard to shake those thoughts. As Christians, we have to choose to be happy. Who likes seeing a mopey Christian? I don’t like seeing anyone mope around let alone a child of God. You need to plan every day to choose happiness. How do you do this?

First, pray for others! 1st Thessalonians 5:17 says, pray without ceasing. When we have our minds on others and pray for them our lives have a feeling of peace and comfort. God will also give you relief of your worries.

When I have a problem my mind will go crazy thinking of every scenario, usually the bad ones! When I am focused on God and my everyday routine those thoughts tend not too be overwhelming. If we turn to movies, books, or people for the answers, we will get the wrong solutions. Being consistent and constant in the word of God will never lead you wrong. This is how you choose to be happy. It is choosing to be consistent and constant in God that makes us happy.

This is not easy just as losing weight isn’t easy. What happens when you lose weight really fast? 99% of the time you gain it back, plus more and you feel defeated and frustrated. It’s because you have not made a lifestyle change.

You have to make a lifestyle change with God also. When my son was in a fatal car accident that took the life of his friend, almost took his life and severely injured two other friends, I could have focused on all the negative and worried constantly about the situation, but I chose to look for God’s blessings! People make statements to me now and say how strong I am or how strong I’ve been through this entire situation. It’s not me at all, it’s God! Without him and the prayers of his Saints my family and I would never have made it through.

To overcome our anxieties of life we must have spiritual strength and pray for others we are only as strong as the prayers from others because that gives us the ability to do all things.

Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ that strengthens me.

So remember pray for others and you will see a difference in how you go through situations and you will choose to be happy and joyful in Christ.

What are you, an encourager or discourager? The choice is yours.

How many of you have had something terrible happened to you? How did you handle yourself through those trials? God has shown me many things through these past few weeks. We must be triumphant in our circumstances! If we do not continue to worship Him and show JOY, God will use someone else. Is that what you want to happen? Do you want God to use someone else or to use you?

We have to remember that we are not the only ones going through trials during our lives. I realized over these past couple of months that the world doesn’t stop just because my son almost lost lost his life. Even through all the pain there are people out there that are suffering and some are going through trials worse than yours.  Others are hurting , grieving, and reaching out for prayer for their loved ones. We are to be an encourager not a discourager to those around us. Show others that you have a mind of Christ. When you lift your friends, family, even strangers up, Christ will lift you up. Always remember the acronym of JOY, which is Jesus, Others, You. This is the order we should serve. Christ put you before himself when he died on the cross. We must live with a mind of Christ showing our joy and victory that we have through him.

Philippians 2:5, Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7, And the peace of God which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and Minds through Christ Jesus.
